List of Routines

  • ADD_LABELS Add labels to an axis. Ticks are not added, so it is recommended
  • ADD_TITLE Add a title to a plot. Designed to create a single title for an
  • BEGPLOT Redirect plotting to the 'PS' device. See also ENDPLOT.
  • DCENTER Center up the display
  • DEFSYMBOLS Define symbols in true-type and vector type fonts. System variables
  • DISPLAY_EXISTS Test if there is an X display. Works on *nix systems with the sh shell.
  • ENDPLOT Closes and saves the current plotfile and returns to 'X'. See also BEGPLOT.
  • ERRFILL Fill in the region x, y, y+/-yerr, which is the allowed range around x,y
  • HISTOGRAM_POINTS Return as set of points which when plotted show a histogram representation
  • IMPLOT_SETUP Given an image, generate position vectors and xrange/yrange vectors which
  • LOGLABELS Generate nice labels for a log plot.
  • MAKE_RAINBOW Return a set of N colors equally spaced along the rainbow. By default

  • MARKXY Mark the specified x,y point on the current device using one of the

  • PLOT_BOX Plot a box with input set of coords.
  • PLOT_CROSS Plot a cross with input size and center.
  • PLOT_ELLIPSE Draw an ellipse on the current graphics device.
  • PLOT_NE_ARROWS Plot a north and east arrow, with tails back to
  • PLOTH histogram first and displays that as an image with tvim2
  • PLOTHIST Plot the histogram of an array with the corresponding abcissa. This is an

  • RGBVIEW Create and display a RGB image from red, green, and blue input images.
  • SETFONT Set the font. Currently only supports vector fonts, for which it is
  • SETUPPLOT Set up default plotting parameters. Parameters are taken from
  • SIMPCTABLE Define a set of colors for plotting. If the display is 8-bit, a color
  • TEXTOIDL Translate all occurences of one substring to another.
  • TVASINH Display an input image using an asinh stretch (Lupton, et al...)

  • TVIM2_SCL View a peice of an image and retain the coordinates of the original image
